Load Tester Features

  1. Four test current choices from 10A to 60A.
  2. Load test duration of 3 secs, ideal to check capacity of small starter batteries.
  3. A comprehensive LED panel indicates test cycle progress, charge programme status & suggested charging time.
  4. A separate LED indication suggests charging of 3 hours or more if the battery was unable to complete the test.
  5. The load test is followed by a ‘rest’ period to allow the internal resistive load to cool. A reset-able thermal protection device prevents overheating.

Automatic charger features

  1. Four constant current settings from 0,8A to 3,2A.
  2. Charging timer, selectable up to 3 hours.
  3. Powerful, rapid constant current charging is automatically followed by a constant voltage maintenance mode until selected time has elapsed.
  4. Effective high voltage (up to 24V) mode, for recovery of deep discharged or sulfated batteries, engages automatically if load test indicated that battery requires at least 3 hours of charging.
  5. Comprehensive LED panel indicates charge current, battery charged status and when charging time has elapsed.
  6. MF charging selection for fully sealed, absorbed acid, batteries.

The operation is simple, but highly effective.
After correctly connecting a battery measuring 1V or more:

SELECT – Batteries have been arranged into 4 groups with matching test and charge currents as recommended by major battery manufacturers and power-sports vehicle manufacturers.

Select the group that matches the battery specifications by either finding the battery model number or by determining the amp-hour (Ah) rating of the battery.

TEST – Start the 3-second load test. (Skip this step if charging a new battery and select NEW with the charging time selector.)

CHARGE – Select charging time as indicated on the test LED panel and start the charge cycle. (The default charging parameters are recommended for all 12V lead acid batteries, but you can additionally select ‘MF’ charging parameters for fully sealed, absorbed acid, batteries (YTX, YTZ, CTX, etc.).)

RE-TEST – Start the load test following the conclusion of the charge cycle.

An OK result indicates the battery can deliver its rated power.
Any other result indicate the battery is worn or damaged and should be replaced.

Intelligent electronic protection:
The BatteryMate will not operate, or will immediately stop operating, if the clamps are connected together (short circuited without being connected to a battery) or connected to a battery in reverse polarity. Reverse polarity connection is clearly indicated.

Comprehensive fuse protection:
Internal output and control circuit fuses and accessible mains input fuses protect against product misuse or malfunction.

International mains supply input:
Multi-input voltage range (100 / 115/ 230V) allows use in most parts of the world.
